BrokenPot Creatives was founded by Karan Singh,
a filmmaker and journalist. He has worked with international
channels for over a decade.
As a TV news anchor, Karan has covered the Iraq War and
Iran’s nuclear program. He has interviewed Colin Powell,
Jack Straw, Amitabh Bachchan and Richard Gere.
He followed General Dostum during the warlord’s Afghan
election campaign, as well as covered the tsunami
disaster
from Nagapattinam and the Nicobar Islands in India.
Karan presented the prime-time news on Doordarshan News, India’s
public broadcaster, with a viewership of 300 million.
In 2004, he hosted the live coverage of India’s general
election. He now hosts South Asia Newsline on Sony
TV in the UK.
He was the founder-editor of MTVindia.com, and writes for
several Indian publications.
He is a member of the South
Asian Journalists Association,
the Foreign
Correspondents' Club of South Asia, Mensa
India, and the Indian
History Congress.
Karan set up BrokenPot Creatives to produce quality documentaries and
television content. He teaches TV Journalism and Documentary
Filmmaking
at several media schools. He also acts in theatre.
