BrokenPot Creatives is led by Karan Singh, a global reporter
and documentary filmmaker. He has worked with international
channels for over a decade, reporting from South Asia, the Middle East,
Europe and Latin America.
As a video journalist, Karan has covered Egypt's revolution, the Iraq
War, Iran's nuclear program, and the tsunami disaster. He also
followed General Dostum during the warlord's Afghan election campaign.
He has been the South Asia Correspondent of RT and Australia Network,
reporting on the Maoist insurgency in India, the situation in Kashmir,
and the challenges to India's outsourcing industry.
As a TV news anchor, Karan presented the prime-time English news on
Doordarshan News, India's public broadcaster, with a viewership of 300 million.
He has hosted the live coverage of India's general election. He was the
founder-editor of MTVindia.com, and writes for several Indian publications.
He is the Vice President of the Foreign Correspondents' Club
of South Asia and a member of the South Asian Journalists Association, Mensa India, and the Indian History Congress.
He has directed several documentary films, which have been screened at
film festivals in New York, Atlanta, and New Delhi.
Karan set up BrokenPot Creatives to produce quality TV
content, corporate films and documentaries. He teaches journalism and documentary filmmaking at several media schools. He also acts in theatre, and enjoys riding his Royal
Enfield motorcycle on road trips whenever he can get away.
